Terry Fox Humanitarian Award 

To Be Considered for this award, applicants must:
* Canadian citizens or landed immigrants
* graduating from Secondary (High) School or have completed secondary school
* involved in voluntary humanitarian activities (for which they have not been compensated) 
* planning to study or already studying towards their first degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution 
- recipients of this award can receive it for a maximum of four years)

University of Calgary Automatic, High School and Prestige Awards 

Very little information is available online regarding these awards unless you start an account at the U of C.  Below is some general information that was available 
  • Automatic Awards - from $2000 to $5000 - your application for school is your award application.  I
  • High School Entrance - $500 to 10,000 - Apply by March 
  • Prestige Awards - up to 25,000 per year  - apply before Dec 1

The National Essay Contest, it’s 98 bursaries to be won, for a grand total of $377,000!
  • Are you in Grades 10, 11, or 12 (secondaire IV, secondaire V or Cégep in Quebec) and registered in a French program?
  • Do you need a little boost to continue your education in French after high school?
  • Take part in the National Essay Contest for the chance to win a scholarship ranging between $1,000 and $20,000 to study in French in one of our participating post-secondary institutions.
