Steps to a Rewarding  Search

Step 1 - Grade 11 Awards 

Grade 11 students click the box to the right and grade 12 students go on to Step 2. 

Step 3 - Contact Your College, Uni or Technical School 

School award sites listed on the bottom of this page.  Filling out the award application at your school is a must do. 

Step 4 - Ask Parents, Your Boss, and School Staff 

It is very common that Unions, Companies, Associations, and High Schools have awards to give away.  Ask about Nominations as well as Applications.  

Step 5 - Awards Listed by Theme  

Themes such as Fine Arts, Indigenous, Hearing or Vision Impairment, Essay Writing and more. 

Step 6 - Use the Search Engines Below

Start accounts with some of the favorite Search Engines listed below. 

Step 7 - Apply for the Rutherford Award 

The Alexander Rutherford award goes to Alberta students who have ever had a 75% average or higher in high school (including non core classes).  It takes longer to figure out your average than it does to apply - so just apply. 

Step 8 - Use Money Hunters 

Search "Likely Awards" by date on the Money Hunters pages.
